"Created to Care" works on two levels: the product cares for you through soft organic cotton, breathable knits and finishes that reduce washing effort; and the supply chain reflects care through certified organic fabric, tested-safe materials and responsible manufacturing practices.

Most brands sell either plain organic cotton basics or synthetic "performance" tees. VANDEE starts with GOTS v7.0-certified soft organic cotton knits, then adds a Stain-Release Care Finish, All-Day Freshness Finish, and (on select styles) a Water-Repellent Care Finish — each backed by independent laboratory testing rather than marketing language.

Freshness and hygiene performance is tested under JIS L 1902:2015 (a recognised international textile test method for bacterial reduction) at an accredited Indian textile laboratory. Water repellency on treated styles is tested under AATCC 22 (spray test). We publish what the tests show — nothing more.

Organic farming relies on natural methods like crop rotation, composting and biological pest control — better for soil, water and farm communities. Certified organic cotton is verified through the supply chain, from farm (under recognised programs such as USDA NOP or India's NPOP) to spinning to fabric — so the "organic" label is auditable rather than a marketing word.

We state the exact composition on every product page and care label. The small elastane content in stretch styles improves fit, movement and recovery (so collars and hems don't sag) while keeping the fabric overwhelmingly organic cotton.

For the wearer, certified organic cotton fabric is also tested against strict harmful-substance limits (VANDEE's fabric holds OEKO-TEX Standard 100 Class I — the strictest, baby-grade class). For farms and the environment, organic methods avoid synthetic agrochemicals, protect water from chemical runoff and build healthier soil that retains moisture naturally over time. For your skin, no synthetic pesticide residues enter the fibre in the first place.

Skin comfort depends on fibre softness and what's in the finished fabric. VANDEE's organic cotton knits are combed for softness, and the fabric is certified under OEKO-TEX Standard 100 Class I, which tests against harmful-substance limits strict enough for babywear. If you have a diagnosed skin condition, follow your dermatologist's advice.

We deliberately avoid quoting hard "litres saved" figures, because water impact varies by region and farm. What's well supported: organic methods improve soil structure and organic matter, which improves the soil's natural water-holding capacity and reduces chemical runoff into local ecosystems.

The finish lowers how strongly stain particles bond to the cotton surface. Spills are easier to blot when fresh, and most common stains lift out in a regular machine wash without aggressive scrubbing or harsh stain removers.

We avoid the word "stain-proof" because it overpromises. Extremely aggressive stains (permanent ink, some dyes, dried paint) can still mark any fabric. For everyday food, beverage and oil stains, the Stain-Release Care Finish makes the difference between a quick wash and a ruined tee.

Body odour on clothing mostly comes from bacteria breaking down sweat on the fabric — not from sweat itself. The All-Day Freshness Finish inhibits that bacterial growth on the textile. Its bacterial-reduction performance is independently verified under JIS L 1902:2015 at an accredited textile laboratory.

This is especially common with polyester tees, which hold onto odour compounds. Cotton handles it better, and a freshness finish that limits bacterial growth on the fabric attacks the root cause: fewer bacteria means fewer odour compounds forming in the first place.

Re-wearing depends on activity and climate, but airing a worn tee overnight and re-wearing it is realistic with a freshness-finished garment in a way it often isn't with untreated tees. Fewer washes also means less water, less detergent and slower fabric wear.

The finished fabric — including its treatments — is what OEKO-TEX tests. Class I certification means the fabric meets harmful-substance limits stricter than those for regular adult clothing. The finish works on the fabric surface to limit bacterial growth on the textile; it is not a medical or therapeutic product.

On VANDEE garments this is delivered through the All-Day Freshness Finish. Its effect is on the fabric, not on your body: it keeps the garment more hygienic and fresher by limiting bacterial growth on the cloth. It is not a medical product and doesn't replace normal hygiene.

JIS L 1902:2015 is an internationally recognised quantitative test method for antibacterial activity on textiles. Treated fabric samples are inoculated with test bacteria and incubated; the reduction versus untreated fabric is measured. VANDEE publishes claims only to the extent the reports support them.

Cotton is naturally breathable and moisture-absorbing, and knit structure does the rest: single jersey is light and airy for daily wear; pique's textured surface holds the fabric slightly off the skin, improving airflow for polos.

Performance is verified under AATCC 22 (the standard spray test for water repellency), where treated VANDEE fabric achieves a top-tier rating of 90 when new — meaning only slight surface wetting under direct spray. It's splash protection for real life, not rainwear.

A waterproof garment blocks water entirely (and usually airflow with it). VANDEE's Water-Repellent Care Finish keeps the cotton breathable while shedding splashes, light rain and accidental spills. In sustained heavy rain, any T-shirt will eventually wet through.

These are fabric- and facility-level credentials verified by independent certification bodies. We present them exactly as what they are — supply-chain verification — rather than dressing them up as brand awards.

We size for real body proportions across men's and women's ranges rather than copying generic blocks. Check the size chart's chest and length measurements against a T-shirt you already like — it's the most reliable method, far better than guessing by S/M/L labels that vary across brands.

This routine protects colour, shape, prints and all three care finishes simultaneously. It's also the lowest-energy way to do laundry — cold washing cuts most of a wash cycle's electricity use.

Softener residue builds up on any fabric, trapping odours over time and dulling performance treatments. VANDEE tees come soft from combed cotton; they don't need chemical softening.

Rubbing drives stains deeper into fibres; blotting lifts them off the finish-treated surface. Most everyday stains — tea, coffee, curry splash, oil — release in a regular cold wash on treated fabric without spot chemicals.

Polos carry a collar's formality and pique's structure; round necks layer better, feel lighter (180 vs 210 GSM (±5%) in VANDEE's case) and suit relaxed wear. Most wardrobes genuinely need both — it's an occasions question, not a quality question.

The keys are fit (clean shoulders, mid-hip length), fabric structure (pique, not flimsy jersey) and a crisp collar. Darker solids read most formal. VANDEE's freshness and stain-release finishes add the practical office advantage: presentable through long days and lunch meetings.

Cotton absorbs and releases moisture, keeping skin comfortable; polyester traps odour and can feel clammy off the sports field. A freshness finish addresses cotton's only summer weakness — odour from long sweaty days — at the root.
